The Ethiopian Heritage Trust (EHT) has well organized structure and includes various bodies
Board of EHT – The board of The Ethiopian Heritage Trust is the group responsible for making by consensus management decisions for the Trust when EHT’s manager including recommendation for approval of project’s plans and revisions requires guidance. In order to ensure accountability, the board decisions should be made in accordance with standards that shall ensure management for development results.
Manager – EHT’s manager has the authority to run the Trust on a day – to – day basis within the constraints laid down by the board. She is also responsible for decision making and her prime responsibility is to ensure that the project produces the results (out puts) specified in the project document. In addition, she will coordinate stakeholders for the implementation of each planned activity including the construction of boreholes and provision of materials for the clinic and school.

Deputy Manager of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring – EHT’s deputy manager of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring is responsible for the forest development and soil and water conservation activities in order to restore biodiversity. For this end, he coordinates his subordinates. He also selects the appropriate tree species and physical soil and water conservation structure for Entoto’s agro ecology in addition to working with his colleagues to avoid the stump of eucalyptus which is hindrance for getting the anticipated output in a reasonable time.
Head of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring – Head of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring is responsible to implement activities on the ground through giving orientation for supervisors of development works and nursery man.

Monitoring framework and evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation of activities is a basic tool for the success of any project. In line with this, EHT’ will monitor this project by all level of its staff.
Manager – Monitors the implementation of each activity of the project in each implementation phase. For this end, she will work in consultation with deputy manager of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring of EHT and other stakeholders.

Deputy Manager of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring – Monitors the forest development and soil and water conservation activities of the project if they are being implemented based on the action plan. He monitors the collection or the purchase of selected tree species and their raising in the nursery to get ready for planting at the right time to meet the objectives.

He also regularly visits the soil and water conservation activities and the forest management activity which will be carried out by removing stumps of the eucalyptus.
Head of natural heritage development, conservation and monitoring – Monitors the day – to – day activities of the overall natural resources conservation and development. He collects information from supervisors regarding the amount of work done on daily basis.
As regards evaluation, it plays significant role in indicating directions for the betterment of implementations. In line with this, as it is indicated in the project’s proposal, the life span of this project is one year. The schedule of evaluation of implemented activities shall be quarterly. Evaluators can be drawn from EHT’s board executive committee, from representatives of the donor and from representatives of governmental organizations
